Coldplay’s India tour opens: Chris Martin lights up Marine Drive with a bright smile; shares heartfelt post

The wait is finally over as the British rock band Coldplay has arrived in India as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Late Thursday night, lead singer Chris Martin was spotted at Mumbai’s Kalina airport with his partner and Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson.

Chris Martin took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt post on his arrival to India, he wrote, “We are so happy and grateful to be here in India,” the band captioned the picture. He donned a grey T-shirt and black trousers, the singer looked all smile while posing for the lens.

Several pictures and videos of him being snapped at the Mumbai International Airport went viral on the internet. He greeted the paparazzi with a ‘namaste’, smiling and waving at fans before departing the airport with Dakota.

Coldplay is ready to perform at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21. The 3-day event is expected to draw around 70,000 attendees.

Coldplay will conclude their India tour with two performances at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
