The evening began with singer-actor Lisa Mishra’s performance, which set the tone for the event. Sheeran then took the stage, opening with “Castle on the Hill” and addressing the audience. He shared his desire to perform in various Indian cities, highlighting that this tour included performances outside of Mumbai, where his previous concerts had been held.

“The first time I came to tour India was in 2015, we played in Mumbai,” Sheeran said. “The next time we came, we played in Mumbai, and the next time we came, we played in Mumbai. The last time we came, I said, ‘Why don’t we play anywhere else.’ They said, ‘Where do you want to play next?” I said, ‘Next time, we’ll play everywhere except Mumbai. We will go to all cities of India.”

Ed’s journey across India

The Gurugram concert marked the final stop of Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour in India. It began on January 30 in Pune and included performances in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Shillong. He mentioned shooting videos in Old Delhi, expressing his amazement at the city.

The setlist included numerous hits like “Thinking Out Loud,” “Photograph,” “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You,” and many more. Sheeran briefly paused the show during “Happier” to assist someone in the crowd who had fainted. He resumed the performance shortly after.

The Finale

The concert concluded with Sheeran performing his most popular tracks. Perfect received a huge response, and the crowd erupted when the opening beats of Shape of You began. The audience sang along to every lyric, marking a fitting end to the memorable night. “The last three weeks in India have been magical. I’ve learned a lot. Thank you for welcoming me and hopefully I will come back soon,” Sheeran told the audience.
