Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore trailer: Johnny Depp fans disappointed with Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald

The new trailer of Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore has been released today and fans’ excitement just raised a few notches. Fans are extremely excited to see what new the latest instalment has to offer. In this new trailer, we get to see how the wizards try to save the world against dark magic. It is going to be an epic face-off between Grindelwald and Dumbledore. The Secrets of Dumbledore will see Mads Mikkelsen taking Johnny Depp place as Gellert Grindelwald. While some were praising the film and the plot of the film, there were some who were pretty disappointed with Mads Mikkelsen as Grindelwald and not Johnny Depp as Grindelwald. 

We went through our social media where to see the fans’ reactions and we found that there are plenty who have not yet opened up with Mads taking up the Grindelwald position that was earlier claimed by Johnny. A fan tweeted, “No offense for the ‘the new Grindelwald’ but the real Grindelwald has a special charisma  WB will regret replacing Johnny Depp #JusticeForjoJohnnyDeppvirginia2022” while another one mentioned, “Since #SecretsOfDumbledore is trending….  A quick reminder that there’s only ONE Grindelwald….and that is Johnny Depp.  A character that he moulded into his own and made it into the success it is today!!  #JohnnyDepp #JohnnyDeppIsMyGrindelwald” 

There was another one who said, “Still disappointed that Johnny Depp isn’t Grindelwald anymore.”

Interestingly, the look of the new Grindelwald is completely different from what we have seen in the previous two instalments. From the hairstyle to the costume, everything about the character has changed. It’s pretty evident that Mads brought his own charm and gravity to this character. No matter how people dislike or reject Mikkelsen as Grindelwald, after the Fantastic Beasts releases, it might change fans’ perspective.
