Gigi Hadid issues statement amid reports of Zayn Malik striking mom Yolanda

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik made it to the headlines during early hours on Friday, due to an alleged family feud. It was reported that Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid and Zayn had an argument. According to reports, Zayn hit his partner Gigi’s mother, Yolanda. TheDusk Till Dawn singer took to his Twitter and reacted to the claims. He responded to the reports of his alleged argument with Yolanda and asked for ‘privacy’. After Zayn, Gigi Hadid’s representative issued a statement about the situation.

According to a report in E! News, Gigi Hadid’s representative said that the model has asked for ‘privacy’ during this situation. The statement read, “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.” The issued statement mentioned that the model is currently focused on what’s best for her daughter Khai.

Earlier, after reports of Zayn Malik striking Gigi’s mom surfaced in the public domain, the singer took to Twitter and requested for privacy too. Zayn tweeted, “As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been “leaked” to the press.” Zayn concluded his statement and said that he remains vigilant to protect his daughter Khai and give her the privacy that she deserves.

Amidst reports, while speaking with TMZ, the Pillow Talk singer said that he adamantly denies striking Yolanda. He also said that he refrains from giving any further details on the matter for the sake of his daughter Khai.

For the unversed, it was reported that Yolanda Hadid claimed that Zayn stuck her when she went to visit the couple’s daughter Khai, while Gigi was away.
