Background on the Tour
The title of the tour references j-hope’s six-part documentary, Hope on the Street, which premiered on March 28, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video and TVING. The documentary showcases the K-pop icon tracing his roots as a dancer alongside his former instructor, Boogaloo Kin.
Accompanying the documentary is the soundtrack HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1, a six-track EP featuring collaborations with various artists, including fellow BTS member Jungkook, Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers, LE SSERAFIM’s HUH YUNJIN, Gaeko, and YOON MIRAE. This EP was released on March 29, 2024, a day after the documentary’s launch.
Milestones and Future Prospects
Before his military enlistment, j-hope made history as the first-ever Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza in July 2022. His groundbreaking performance was featured in his first documentary, J-hope IN THE BOX, which chronicles the creation of his debut album, Jack In The Box.
With J-hope having completed his military service, excitement continues to build around his upcoming tour, especially as he prepares for performances before his five fellow BTS members return from their military duties. Notably, Jin is the only other BTS member who has completed his service prior to j-hope.
