Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck after 2 years of marriage

After months of speculation and reports, Jennifer Lopez has finally filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. As per reports, the divorce was filed in LA yesterday, August 20, 2024.

As per a Variety report, Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday, August 20, in LA County Superior Court. August 20 is an important date in the couple’s relationship as it marks their second wedding anniversary. Two years ago, the duo had a lavish wedding ceremony in Georgia in 2022 after they had previously tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. The couple’s official separation date is listed as April 26.

Ben and JLo rekindled their romance in April 2021, got engaged in April 2022 and married in July 2022 in Las Vegas. However, their relationship kept making the headlines in recent times as the couple began living separately. In May this year, Ben moved out of their shared marital home in Beverly Hills. Since then, Ben has been residing at a rented house in Brentwood and JLo is based at her LA home.

The couple – who do not share any children, share more than one kid with their previous partner. Affleck is a father to three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner – Violet (18), Fin (17) and Samuel (12) and Lopez is the mother of twins Max and Emme (ages 16 years old) with previous husband, Marc Anthony. JLo is particularly close with Affleck’s eldest daughter, Violet.
