Joker: Folie à Deux to arrive in India before the rest of the world! Here’s when the Joaquin Phoenix-Lady Gaga starrer releases in desi theatres

While the wait for the release of the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga starrer is still over a month long, we come across some exciting news for fans of the film in India. Joker 2 will be released in India a couple of days before the film hits theatres across the globe.

Joker: Folie à Deux to release in India before rest of the world

As per the film’s new character poster, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga-led Joker: Folie à Deux will release in Indian theatres on October 2- coinciding with the public holiday of Gandhi Jayanti. This means Indian fans can watch the film two days before the rest of the world.

The character posters carrying the new release date feature Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck/The Joker and Lady Gaga as Harleen ‘Lee’ Quinzel/Harley Quinn. Check them out below:

About Joker: Folie à Deux

Directed by Todd Phillips, the upcoming musical psychological thriller not only brings back Phoenix as the titular character but also introduces Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Besides Phoenix and Gaga, the film also features Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener, alongside Zazie Beetz. The film – which is scheduled to be released worldwide on October 4, will premiere at 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 4 and release in India on October 2.
