Park Min Jae, the talented South Korean actor celebrated for his performances in popular K-dramas such as The Korea-Khitan War, Tomorrow, and Little Women, tragically passed away in November at the age of 32 while travelling in China.

Park Min Jae passed away due to cardiac arrest

On December 2, his agency, Big Title, along with various media outlets, confirmed the heartbreaking news of his untimely demise. “Park Min Jae, a gifted actor who was passionate about his craft and always gave his all, has departed for heaven,” his agency stated on social media. They expressed their profound gratitude for the love and support shown to Min Jae, adding, “Though he’s no longer with us, we will cherish and honour his legacy as an esteemed member of Big Title. May he rest in peace.”

Park Minjae’s death cause

Though the announcement of his passing came on a Monday, reports indicate that the actor suffered a cardiac arrest on November 29 while in China. A wake in his honour is scheduled to be held in Room 9 of the Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Hall, with the funeral taking place on December 4 at 9:30 am (local time). Details regarding his burial site remain unconfirmed.

Min Jae’s younger brother shared heartfelt sentiments on social media, “My beloved brother has gone to rest. I hope many will remember him. I apologize for not being able to reach out to everyone personally.”

Hwang Ju Hye, CEO of Big Title, also expressed her sorrow online, stating, “The man who dreamed of conquering China and taking a month-long trip has embarked on a much longer journey. It’s so sudden and shocking… The family must be experiencing unimaginable grief. Min Jae, there was still so much more we wished to share and accomplish together. I am grateful to have represented you, even if only briefly, and I am deeply sorry. I will forever remember you as Actor Park Min Jae.”

Park Minjae’s projects

At the time of his passing, Park was under the management of Big Title, which also represents Jeong Young Ju, a cast member of Lovely Runner. His Instagram account had 2,005 followers, showcasing that he was well on his way to attaining broader recognition in the industry. Throughout his career, Park made significant contributions to numerous hit K-dramas, including Tomorrow, Little Women, Call It Love, The Korea-Khitan War, Mr. LEE, and Bo-ra! Deborah.
