Jonathan Majors’ entry into the MCU as Kang in Loki season 1 was loved by all. However, in December 2023, Jonathan was found guilty of harassment and was thereafter dropped by Marvel Studios from future MCU movies, including two instalments of Avengers. Recently, the studio announced the arrival of Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom – the new villain in their superhero multiverse.
TMZ recently interacted with Jonathan Majors and asked him about RDJ’s re-entry into the MCU. From revealing his love for Doctor Doom to wishing for a second change, read on to know his reaction.
Jonathan Majors on Robert Downey Jr becoming MCU’s new villain
When asked his reaction to Robert Downey Jr replacing him as the new MCU villain, Jonathan Majors simply said, “Heartbroken.” He continued, “Of course. I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked, though.”
When asked if he feels it’s fair that Robert gets another chance by Marvel despite being arrested in 1996 for possession of drugs (heroin & cocaine) and carrying around a firearm (unloaded gun), the ‘Kang: The Conqueror’ actor said, “I think it’s fair that Mr Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love, and being allowed to work (his) art and be creative at that level. I didn’t really get that.”

When asked if he’d like a similar chance like Robert Downey Jr got to reprise his role of Kang in the MCU, the actor excitedly replied, “Hell yeah! Hell yeah! I love him. I love Kang. If that’s what the fans want, and that’s what Marvel wants then let’s roll. Hell yeah.”
Upcoming projects
The upcoming movies MCU movies are titled Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Both films will be directed by the Russo Brothers – Joe and Anthony Russo. Doomsday is scheduled to release
