The winners of the the 19th Korean Music Awards were announced on Tuesday. BTS and aespa bagged the big awards such as artist of the year, song of the year and much more. Also leading in the winners league was Lang Lee with Album of the Year. This was the third time that BTS bagged the Daesang award.
Korean Music Awards is regarded as the most prestigious awards in South Korea. While most South Korean award shows focus on sales to determine winners for their event but Korean Music Awards has a primary criterion as musical achievements. The awards show places more importance to albums and songs in and of themselves.
