There’s a new development in former One Direction member, Liam Payne’s death. As per reports pouring in, the Argentinian authorities have not only ruled the singer’s demise “not a suicide” but have also begun investigating the singer’s missing £30k Rolex. As per reports, the ‘Polaroid’ singer was seen wearing the accessory hours before his shocking demise on October 16.
Search for Liam Payne’s Rolex watch begins
As reported by Argentinian daily La Nacion, Argentinian police probing Liam Payne ’s death are currently searching for the singer’s missing designer watch. Report state that the £30k Rolex was not discovered during police raids last week on the homes of three suspects in the ongoing criminal investigation.
The Argentinian publication noted that aside from the three accussed, the homes of two females Liam spent his last hours with before demise were also searched. However, the watch wasn’t found at their residence to. The duo are being treated as witnesses in the case and aren’t accused of any crimes.
It’s also bbeing reproted that the CasaSur Palermo Hotel would be searched again for the expensive timepiece. The operation in the “next 72 hours” is set to focus on the former One Direction singer’s deluxe suite room in case the watch, which investigators reportedly suspect may have been stolen, was missed during the first time round.
Liam was wearing the watch before his death
As per the reprot, Liam Payne was seen wearing the £30k watch in CCTV images and other photos incorporated into the prosecution case files shortly before he died around 5pm local time on October 16. A judicial source told La Nacion, “We know from images that have been analysed that Liam had the watch on the day of his death. He had it in one of his hands and he had it at least two to three hours before his fatal hotel fall. We looked for it in his hotel room and couldn’t find it.”
The article further noted, “The watch was searched for in the homes of the three people being investigated on suspicion of abandoning Liam and the supply and facilitation of drugs, as well as in the homes of the two female escorts who were with him in his room the afternoon he died. The room is still sealed off by court order and no-one can enter.” The publication also noted, “Searching for the watch in the homes of the people Liam had contact with before his death was the initial priority but now another inspection will take place to see if it remains somewhere in his room.”
About Payne’s death
Liam tragically passed away on October 16 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As per the prosecutor’s statement, the late singer had alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system before his death. According to an autopsy performed immediately after his death, the One Direction singer died of trauma and internal and external bleeding.
