The highly-anticipated Korean adaptation of Netflix’s hit Spanish heist series Money Heist now has an official title. It is named Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. Netflix has unveiled Money Heist Korea’s teaser and it features Yoo Ji-Tae as the Professor. The actor is best known for his work in Seven Days, Ode to My Father, Lost and Mistresses.
Money Heist: Korea’s teaser narrates the story of a genius strategist and his crew of top-class thieves. It is all about how they attempt to pull off a unique heist in the Korean Peninsula.
Netflix dropped Money Heist Korea Teaser on Tuesday, January 18. It showcases the Professor (Yoo Ji-Tae) carefully choosing from a wall of unique masks. The masks include the original Salvador Dali mask and a few traditional Korean masks. We can see the Professor reaching out to choose an unidentified mask for the upcoming heist.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area also features Squid Game actor Park Hae-soo (Berlin), Jeon Jong-seo (Tokyo), Lee Won-jong (Moscow). Also Kim Ji-hun (Denver), Jang Yoon-ju (Nairobi), Park Jung-woo (Rio), Kim Ji-hun (Helsinki), and Lee Kyu-ho (Oslo).
The Task Force team has Kim Yunjin (Seon Woojin) and Kim Sung-o (Cha Moohyuk). Park Myung-hoon (Cho Youngmin) and Lee Joobeen (Youn Misun) play hostages.
The 12-episode Korean adaptation is directed by Kim Hong-sun. Money Heist: Korea is set to premiere on Netflix in 2022.
The original Money Heist is all about a group of thieves behind elaborate bank robberies, masterminded by the mysterious Professor (Alvaro Morte). Part 1 premiered in 2017. Part 4 in April 2020, and the fifth and final part in December 2021.
