Nicolas Cage and wife Riko Shibata announce pregnancy on actor’s B’day

Hollywood star Nicolas Cage surprised fans on his birthday. The actor revealed that he and his wife Riko Shibata are expecting their first child together. Their representatives confirming the news said that the parents to be are elated. This is the 57-year-old actor’s third child while first with his 27-year-old wife Riko Shibata.

Nickolas cage is already a father to two children from prior marriages. The Kick-Ass actor has son Weston Coppola Cage, 31, with ex Christina Fulton and son Kal-El, 16, with ex-wife Alice Kim.

Nickolas and Riko met in Japan in 2020 when he was filming Sion Sono’s Prisoners Of Ghostland. She landed a role in the movie playing one of the four Mannequin Women.  The much in love couple tied the knot in a very small and intimate wedding at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on February 16 of last year. They made their Red Carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of Nickolas Cage’s film Pig.

This is not Nicolas Cage’s first marriage. As per US Weekly, The National Treasure actor had already been married four times before marrying Shibata. He married Patricia Arquette in 1995 and divorced her six years later. Cage married Lisa Marie Presley for 107 days in 2002 before divorcing her. He next married Alice Kim and they welcomed their son Kal-El and divorced nearly a decade later. The Ghost Rider star married Erika Koike in Las Vegas in March 2019, but the couple filed for divorce four days later.

On the work front, Nicolas Cage will play Dracula in Universal’s upcoming monster movie Renfield.
