The nominations for the 96th annual Academy Awards have been announced. The Christopher Nolan directorial Oppenheimer starring the talented Cillian Murphy tops the charts with 13 nods. Yes, you read that right! It is followed by Poor Things (11 nominations), a female-focused take on the Frankenstein Myth. Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leonardo DiCaprio received 10 nominations. Much to fans’ surprise Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig are not nominated for their work in Barbie. However, Barbie has been nominated for Best Film.

On the other hand, the Nisha Pahuja directorial ‘To Kill a Tiger’ which is set in a small Indian village has been nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 2024 Academy Awards. Having said that, here’s a full list of Oscars 2024 nominations.
