Priyanka Chopra plays a grown-up version of Sati in The Matrix Resurrections? Deets here

Priyanka Chopra will soon be seen in the hit sci-fi franchise Matrix Resurrection featuring Keanu Reeves. The trailer of the film gave us a small glimpse of the Diva leaving Indian fans a tad disappointed. But the character posters created a buzz on the internet. Priyanka’s look – an elaborate costume and with her hair tied up in ‘space’ buns – in the film’s promotional content had fans speculating if she is playing the role of Sati in the movie.

For the unversed, she is the little girl who accompanies the Oracle and also meets with The One aka Neo (Keanu Reeves) in the third Matrix film. Though Priyanka and Warner brothers are keeping mum about her character in the film. A new poster of the movie has confirmed the news.

A character poster shared by Warner Bros Korea confirms that actor Priyanka Chopra is, indeed, playing an adult Sati in the upcoming The Matrix Resurrections. The character was originally featured as a child in The Matrix Revolutions, in 2003.

The Korean poster has the name Sati written in bold red letters under the title. In the poster featuring Priyanka Chopra, the title of the film featured in the local language while the text in red featured her character’s name – Sati (사티). A quick Google translate reveals that the full text reads, “#Sati

The Matrix Resurrections also features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Morpheus, Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, and supporting players Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jada Pinkett Smith. The film is slated for a December 22 release.
