Salma Hayek honoured with Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Eternals star Salma Hayek Pinault has been honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in California. The Mexican and American actress and film producer becomes the 2,709th celebrity to get the coveted Star. The star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame honouring Salma Hayek Pinault was unveiled Friday ahead of the release of her latest film, ‘House of Gucci.’The actress expressed gratitude to her fans and dedicated her star to them.

Salma Hayek’s Star was unveiled in a ceremony, which was attended by Chloe Zhao and Adam Sandler. The ceremony was held in front of the box office of TCL Chinese Theatre Hollywood IMAX.

During her speech, the Eternals star recalled the doubts some had about her succeeding in America as a Mexican woman. She thanked those who opened doors for her. Hayek also advised people to follow their dreams.

Salma said, “Find something to love. If you think you aren’t good at it like I did, make yourself good at it. It doesn’t have to be the movies, be your best at everything you do. Try to be better. Try to find joy in what you do. Work hard. Prepare. Don’t care what anybody says, but most importantly don’t listen to yourself when you bring yourself down.”

Hollywood actor Adam Sandler and Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao joined the actress in speaking at the ceremony. Sandler called Hayek “one of the finest actresses of our generation” and a personal friend said, “It is my honor to be one of the presenters at the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the incomparable Salma Hayek.”

Salma Hayek Pinault and Sandler appeared together in the 2010 comedy ‘Grown Ups’ and its 2013 sequel ‘Grown Ups 2.’ Chloe Zhao directed Salma in the recently released Marvel film ‘Eternals.’
