A video of Drake throwing a slipper at a drone hovering inside his Sydney apartment has circulated online, sparking widespread scepticism among internet users. Despite Drake’s apparent surprise and anger at the perceived invasion of privacy, many netizens are convinced the video is staged.

Drake throws a slipper at a drone hovering outside apartment

The footage shows a drone camera capturing the singer’s laptop on his desk, revealing a gambling site open on the screen. Upon entering the room and noticing the drone, Drake appears shocked before taking aim at it with a slipper. The drone avoids the throw and exits the apartment. This video comes amid Drake’s highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar, who performed his “Drake diss track” “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Many X users have expressed their doubts about the authenticity of the clip, deeming it staged. Comments on X include, “This is so staged it’s insulting he thought we would believe this” and “Staged, drone pilot sitting in the corner” . Others pointing out the presence of the drone operator’s reflection and the obvious product placement for the gambling site. One user said, “I refuse to think that this is not an ad for that gambling site.” There has been no response from Drake regarding the video as of yet.

Drake recently released the album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U in collaboration with PartyNextDoor. On the track Gimme a Hug, he seems to address his past feuds. At an Australia show, Drake wore a hoodie decorated with fake bullet holes. This suggested he was alive despite the criticism he had received.
