Will Smith consulting a therapist post Oscars slapgate incident?

Hollywood actor Will Smith is seemingly trying to move ahead from the Oscar embarrassment. The 53-year-old has seemingly sought help in the wave of his infamous slap at the Academy Awards. The actor had hit international headlines for his outburst toward Chris Rock. The incident took place at the March 27 event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The incident had left everyone shocked at the prestigious award ceremony and Smith was banned from attending it for 10 years.

Will Smith lost his cool when Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. He said, “Jada, I love you, G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.” This was in reference to the 1997 movie which featured Demi Moore with a shaved head. Not many know that Jada Pinkett Smith has been diagnosed with alopecia, which causes hair loss. The actor jumped on stage and slapped the comedian.

Later, the King Richard actor apologised for his behaviour on social media. The star called himself a “work in progress” before adding, “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong.”

“The list of those I have hurt is long,” Smith said, “and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home,”

Will Smith has kept a relatively low profile ever since the oscar even. He was spotted on April 23 landing at a private airport in Mumbai, India, as a source told him he was there to focus on spirituality, yoga and meditation.
