Alim Morani is the new talent in town and he has taken the internet by storm with his recently released rap song ‘Let Me Live’ (it’s his first). The song is receiving a positive response from all over the world and it has garnered over 1 million views within a short span of time. It’s not a conventional rap song. It’s about getting over all the cynicism and criticism of the world and living life on your own terms and conditions.
While talking exclusively to Bollywood Bubble, Alim had spoken at length about his song, future plans and also about his upcoming numbers. He said, “Let Me Live’ was done as an experiment actually. I never had the intention of ever making a music video or putting my music out there for the whole world to see. I did it and got a warm response from the people. I am thinking of making a couple of more tracks now which are already in the process.” Alim didn’t reveal too much information about his upcoming projects.
Talking about his favourite Bollywood singer, he named the music maestro A.R. Rahman whose music and voice Alim loves. When asked about his favourite rappers, he said, “There are some good rappers like Honey Singh and Badshah. Also, the upcoming rappers who you will see in ‘Gully Boy’. With hip-hop, people can express creatively. If you are a creative person and want to express yourself through music, hip-hop is one of the best ways.”
This is indeed a great piece of advice for all the young rappers out there, isn’t it? As Alim has told us that he is working on his upcoming numbers, we can’t wait for his next release and we hope that he will treat us with more rap songs this year.
