EXCLUSIVE: Manisha Koirala reveals she has also written letters which she never posted

As Manisha Koirala is geared up to make a comeback on the big screen with ‘Dear Maya’, we engaged in an exclusive conversation with the beautiful actress. If you’ve seen the trailer and songs from the movie, then you would have realized that it’s not the usual story of a guy meets girl. Instead, it depicts a woman Maya Devi living a recluse life all alone locking up herself in an abandoned bungalow for the past twenty years, as she has no love in her life. She hasn’t ventured out of her house and is caged inside with dogs and birds. But, two teenage girls Anna and Ira decide to bring happiness into her life and start penning fake letters to her in the name of a suitor she had met twenty years back. Reading those anonymous love letters, Maya Devi starts leading a life of bliss and that’s how the story progresses.

So, we asked Manisha if like her character in the movie, she has ever received anonymous love letters, or if she has ever written any letters anonymously to someone in real life. To which she replied, “I used to write letters but in a diary and never really sent them to anybody. As I young girl, I would have crushes and write in a diary but never had the guts to give it.” Aww! But, we believe that considering how naturally beautiful she is, many guys would be surely writing letters to her, but not be admitting it openly.

‘Dear Maya’ is directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar and stars Manishak Koirala, Shreya Singh Chaudhary, Madiha Imam in lead roles. The movie is slated to release on June 2, 2017.
