‘I am that girl who takes time getting ready’, quips Bhumi Pednekar

Since the beginning Bhumi Pednekar has been a part of films wherein we get to see her only in desi avatars. Be it her debut film ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ or her latest one ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, Bhumi has essayed the roles which are more like that of a girl next door. But that does not mean she is not fashionable in real.

In a recent interview with a news agency, Bhumi quipped, “The kind of films I do, people assume that I am not a fashionable person but I am an urban girl and I have always been fashionable. I think people are noticing it more because my films have done well… I am that girl who takes time getting ready.”

Further adding, “People don’t expect it from me because of the kind of films I do… So, slowly and steadily they will understand that it is just a character I play.” Okay, we get it!

Bhumi, who had an amazing 2017 with both her films ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ being a hit at the box office, will next be seen in a film called ‘Chambal’, where she will be sharing screen space with Sushant SIngh Rajput. About the film she said, “I will start shooting for my next film in December or January. It is something very special. It is a very different and challenging film.”
