Huma Qureshi on her role in ‘Jolly LL.B 2’: There’s a shift when I take over

Huma Qureshi plays the female lead in Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Jolly LL.B 2’. In the first instalment, Amrita Rao was seen opposite Arshad Warsi in the film, but unfortunately the talented actress had not much to do in the movie.

When we recently met Huma for an interview, we asked her that as in the first part Amrita had not much to do, how would she sum up her role in the film, the actress said, “When I read the script, I knew that this is a film I had to be a part of because it has a strong subject. And of course Pushpa (her character in the film) is not directly involved in the case, but she is a very strong instrument of change in Jolly’s life. There’s a shift when she takes over, when he is floundering. In that sense, it’s important. She may not be a direct agent of change in the film, but she is very important agent in his life. And I got my share of doing a little bit of action too.”

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ is slated to hit the screens on February 10.
