Deepika Padukone has left everyone in awe with her performance as Rani Padmavati in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’. Post hitting the screens, Deepika along with the other lead stars of the film, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor are interacting with the media. They are individually sharing their experiences while shooting the film and about the reactions they are receiving post its release.
Recently, it was during a media interaction when Deepika was asked how was it watching the film with director Bhansali for the first time post its release. To which, the actress shared about how special she felt when the filmmaker gave her an opportunity to sit next to him which no one else has got till date. (Also Read: Padmaavat: Deepika’s parents watch the film, the actress shares their reaction on it)
She said,
I was seated right next to Sanjay Sir. He has seen the film many a times, but that time I guess Sanjay Sir was more keen to know what I was thinking about the film. Generally, while watching a film, Sanjay sir has his mother seated next to him and one chair on his other side is always empty. Nobody has sat on that chair till date but this time he gave me the opportunity to sit there.
Further adding,
I got very conscious as I thought if I start dancing or crying while watching the film, he will get very worried. But, after a point I got transported to that era.
Well, indeed that will remain as a special moment in Deepika’s life to sit beside her mentor while watching their latest work together.
Quiet, resonant, and creative, he can be seen immersed in his own world, and puts in his heart and soul into the one passion that he has, Bollywood. His line for survival? Feel happy to be a part of it.
