Shraddha on meeting Saina Nehwal: I was in complete awe

Shraddha Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of her film ‘Haseena Parkar’ in which she plays the titular role. The movie is a biopic on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister and after watching the promos of the film we can surely expect an award-worthy performance from her.

After ‘Haseena Parkar’, Shraddha will also be seen in one more biopic. The actress will be seen playing the role of Saina Nehwal in the badminton champion’s biopic. Shraddha, who had recently visited Hyderabad, met Saina for the first time out there and said that after seeing the badminton player she was in complete awe of her.

Shraddha said, “I met Saina (Nehwal) and we played badminton together, and it was the first time I met her actually. We were in touch on messaging. I met her for the first time and it was amazing. I walked in to the court. She was playing and everyone was watching her. I was like I can’t believe I am going to play this hero, she is one of our country’s heroes. I was in complete awe.”

Shraddha even practised badminton with Saina out there and shared the picture on Instagram. It will be interesting to see if Shraddha will be able to do justice to the character of Saina Nehwal or not. (Also Read: Shraddha shares her experience of meeting Prabhas for the first time)
