Sidharth Malhotra’s last release ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, which had Katrina Kaif opposite him, had unfortunately failed to make a mark at the box office. The actor will next be seen in ‘A Gentleman’, and he is currently busy with the promotions of the film.
Recently, when we met Sidharth for an interview, we asked him that since his last release ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ didn’t do well at the box office, is there any pressure on him that ‘A Gentleman’ has to do well, to which he said, “Definitely! It’s like a bad day at work or office in a month. You want every film to do well, but for me personally coming from outside, wanted to make it big in the city and when something doesn’t go my way, it just charges me up much more. I think it makes you work much harder that becomes a motivation for your next film. But, I am pretty excited about this release (‘A Gentleman’). Not the pressure, but a little more aggressive.”
‘A Gentleman’ also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, and the actress also needs a hit at the box office as her last film ‘A Flying Jatt’ too didn’t do well at the box office. (Also Read: Sidharth Malhotra: Have made peace with link-up rumours)
After ‘A Gentleman’, Sidharth will be seen in ‘Ittefaq’ and ‘Aiyaary’. While the former will be releasing on November 3, 2017, the latter is slated to hit the screens during Republic Day weekend next year.
His film ‘Aiyaary’ will be clashing with Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’. Talking about the clash, Sidharth had said, “Yes, it is very unfortunate. But, we don’t know as yet. We have also not finished ‘Aiyaary’; even they haven’t finished their shooting or their post (production). So, let’s see we still have time. I have two other films releasing so I am more worried about that right now.”
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
