Sidharth Malhotra talks about clashing with Akshay Kumar at the box office

Sidharth Malhotra will be seen in Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyaary’ which is slated to hit the screens during Republic Day weekend next year. Well, on the same day reportedly Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth-starrer ‘2.0’ is also slated to release.

Recently, when we met Sidharth for an interview, he was asked about his film ‘Aiyaary’ clashing with ‘2.0’, to which he said, “Yes, it is very unfortunate. But, we don’t know as yet. We have also not finished ‘Aiyaary’; even they haven’t finished their shooting or their post (production). So, let’s see we still have time. I have two other films releasing so I am more worried about that right now.”

We wonder if Sidharth was trying to hint that either ‘Aiyaary’ or ‘2.0’ might get postponed and avert the clash. ‘Aiyaary’ is directed by Neeraj Pandey who shares a great rapport with Akshay Kumar, so we won’t be surprised if the Sidharth Malhotra-starrer gets preponed or postponed to make a clear way for ‘2.0’. Currently, Sidharth is busy with the promotions of Raj & DK’s ‘A Gentleman’ which is slated to hit the screens on August 25, 2017. The movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and has Suniel Shetty in cameo appearance. Apart from ‘A Gentleman’, Sidharth will also be seen in Abhay Chopra’s ‘Ittefaq’ which is a remake of 1969 release film which had the same title and starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda in the lead roles. The movie, which is produced by Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Abhay Chopra, also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna, along with Sidharth. It is slated to hit the screens on November 3, 2017.
