Tiger Zinda Hai: Ali Abbas Zafar admits to not having guts to name the film ‘Zoya Zinda Hai’?

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie is a sequel to 2012 release ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which was directed by Kabir Khan.

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ both the movies have two central characters, Tiger and Zoya, still in title of both the movies, we can just see male character’s name.

When recently director Ali Abbas Zafar was asked what will it take Bollywood to title a film as ‘Zoya Zinda Hai’ or ‘Tiger Aur Zoya Zinda Hai’, the director said, “It will for sure take some more guts in filmmakers. But, I think we are heading there. We are definitely writing much stronger characters for women now. ‘Tumhari Sulu’ is clear example now which is about a girl. ‘Pari’ is coming which is Anushka’s film. It is also about a girl. So, I think we will eventually reach there. Also we will have to wait for Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir to leave this place of stardom for someone else to take that. But, till the time they are zinda, you can’t do anything about it.”
