From London to Bollywood, Katrina Kaif has come a long way. As we know the leggy lass does not hail from India, it is a little too much to expect that she would be fluent in Hindi. Even though she tries hard to speak in Hindi with ease, it’s her accent that is a bit of a trouble. But contrary to this, Katrina’s dialogue coach opines that the lady has a good command over Hindi. When we got in touch with Vikas to discuss about upcoming film ‘Ajji’, we also probed him about his career as a dialogue coach. That’s when he revealed that he is training Katrina for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. When asked how it is working with the lady, he said, “I have just started working with her. The good part is that she is very honest to admit that ‘I should have been better with all these years in this industry’. Surprisingly, she is being a little strict with herself. Her Hindi is actually very good, if you communicate with her.
It is just that she does not come out in public, may be because I think she wants to be flawless and not make any mistakes. Or somehow she is not totally confident. But I actually told her that I am surprised that you know so much of Hindi. Something seems to hold her back. It’s okay if there are a few issues here and there, with diction or action and we all go wrong with genders and grammar, utna toh chalega. But she was quite a revelation. In the first meeting itself she was very, very honest and blunt that I want to be much better. Her willingness to work hard is very good.”
Well, we agree. Katrina’s honesty is worth appreciating.
A strongly opinionated, free-spirited, budding Bollywood journalist, she likes to write anything in her own quirky style. When not running around to get assigned tasks completed, you will find her either painting, indulging in photography or dreaming in the la la land.
