Vidya Balan: I don’t think you can call ‘Begum Jaan’ a remake of ‘Rajkahini’

Vidya Balan will be seen in the Hindi remake of Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Rajkahini’ which has been titled as ‘Begum Jaan’. However, the actress thinks that it cannot be called as a remake.

Recently, in an interview, when the actress was asked what alterations have been done in the Hindi remake of ‘Rajkahini’, she said, “I don’t think you can call it a remake. It would be safe to say that it is based on ‘Rajkahini’. It’s quite different; the world is also different because here it is Punjab.”

Vidya also revealed that they start shooting for the film on June 18. The actress will next be seen in ‘TE3N’ which releases on 10^th June.
