A quick look at the Vogue mag cover, and for a moment, we thought that Athiya Shetty is trying to recreate the iconic Kimi Katkar look from the superhit 90s Bollywood song – ‘Jumma Chumma De De’. The same fiery red hues, frills, shimmer, broad neckline and magnificence. Of course, minus the flamenco style, black stockinged legs, loud makeup and the most important factor – Kimi’s sensuousness.
All geared up to promote their upcoming comedy film ‘Mubarakan‘, Arjun Kapoor and Athiya Shetty have made this appearance on the July cover of Vogue to create the right of buzz ahead of the movie’s release on July 28, 2017. In this issue of the magazine, the star kids will be making some confessions, suggests the slug on the cover.
Arjun seems to be sitting on a stool, wearing a tuxedo shirt with a bow tie, jacket, and trousers from Burberry. Athiya is sitting on his lap flaunting her vintage red dress. In all fairness, Arjun’s outfit is hardly visible, but he does all the talking with his confidence and intense expression. We love his neatly gelled, slicked-back hair that adds a touch of sophistication. (Also Read: ‘Hawa Hawa’ from ‘Mubarakan’: Arjun’s antics are the highlight of this foot-tapping number)
Athiya has donned a glittering red Rodarte corset, which has a wide neck and poufy 3/4th sleeves with ruffles. The top is paired with an equally sparkling red midi skirt from the same label. The accessories only include a pair of subtle hoops from Cartier. Hair is left open in soft waves and a bronze eyeshadow completes the look. But there’s something very confusing about Athiya’s personality. She’s almost feminine and pretty but lacks that spark. Those dull eyes don’t quite add any value to her personality.
We think the duo looked pretty good on the cover (Arjun gets the brownie points though).
