When saree meets sexy! Shilpa Shetty gives the traditional saree a new spin!

There are very few actresses in Bollywood who look fabulous in a saree and Shilpa Shetty is one of them. The actress is a fashion magnet and even though she has committed faux pas (who doesn’t?), it’s safe to say that she has more number of hits than misses.

For an event in UAE, Shilpa Shetty was spotted flaunting a Indo-western look. She wore a bright one-shoulder ensemble by Rebecca Dewan that had a contemporary take on the classic saree drape. What we loved here is how the saree pleats are modernised and without a doubt, the fringe details are the major fashion highlight of the outfit. Further, she added sparkle to the attire with a pair of stunning diamond earrings from Anmol Jewellers and those peep-toe heels from Miu Miu, gave a lovely fusion look. Finally to round up the look, she chose to go for a messy ponytail, smokey eyes and a nude lip shade in brown.

Beguiling

For a brand endorsement in Goa, Shilpa Shetty chose again to go for a saree and looked nothing less than a diva. Her saree was quite simple, no doubt, but the contrast between the blouse and saree, is what caught our attention. Her high-neck blouse and the dark violet coloured saree with a golden border, is simply gorgeous. To add a little bit of glam, she donned a pair of shoulder touching earrings and a cute bracelet.
