Umesh Shukla, of Oh My God fame is back with a family drama ‘All Is Well’. The movie has a stellar cast of Rishi Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Supriya Pathak. ‘All Is Well’ is a family entertainer that has some comedy sprinkled with drama and some action too.
The story starts with Inder (Bachchan) a frustrated young man, unhappy with the situation at home. He is always in a conflict with his high handed father Bhalla(Rishi Kapoor) and cannot bear to see his mother Pammi(Supriya Pathak) being ill treated. Inder walks out of his dreary home, to make a name for himself in the world of singing and also to escape from the conditions at home. The repentant son returns home after a decade to find his father in debt to a local goon Cheema (Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub).
The father son duo, decide to go on a journey to escape the goons, they are joined by Inders mother Pammi and a secret toting girl Nimmi(Asin). Each one on the road trip has their own set of issues with each other. The journey acts as a catalyst for them to confront one another and sort things out. What happens on the road trip ? Do the Father Son duo realise their mistake and make up? Does Bhalla make good with his wife whom he treated miserably throughout their married life? Does Inder and Nimmi have a happily ever after for their story? All this and many more answers will be gained by watching Umesh Shukla’s ‘All Is Well’.
Rishi Kapoor the power house of talent has deliverd the goods to a tee, he is well supported by Abhishek Bachchna as the resentful son. Asin’s just like a doll who doesn’t have much dialogues. Supriya Pathak has once again done a good job as the mistreated and unhappy wife. The plot of the film ‘All Is Well’ is a complete family drama filled with a lot of laughter.
The movie’s soundtrack has been created by Himesh Reshammiya, Amaal Mallik, Mithoon and Meet Bros, with some hum-able numbers. ‘Chaar shanivaar’ has become a party number of the season. ‘Nachan farrate’ Sonakshi Sinha’s item number, is peppy.
‘All is Well’ is Abhishek Bachchan and Asin’s serious struggle to get back into Bollywood, it is a tough one for the talented duo. Now it is up to the audience to judge these two stars.
On the whole, ‘All is well’ is worth watching this weekend.
