Storyline

What Work for the Story

Jeetu Bhaiyya’s powerful performance deeply engages the audience. This season, we witness a fresh and different side of Jeetu as he deals with personal issues following a life-altering tragedy. The character development throughout the season is top-notch. Vaibhav’s portrayal of an IIT aspirant’s emotional journey is incredibly relatable. His monologue in the fourth episode breathes life into his frustrated character, making it one of the season’s highlights. This season is all about character glow-ups and finding one’s true self. The anxiety in the finale episode, where Uday, Meena, Vaibhav, Shivangi, and Vartika await their results, is palpable and will resonate strongly with students.

What Doesn’t Work for the Series

Despite the brilliant acting, the series progresses more slowly than it should. Although Vaibhav Pandey and Jeetu Bhaiyya receive significant screen time, the audience expected more focus on side characters who also play impactful roles. The lack of a strong narrative for characters like Uday, Shivangi, and Pooja Didi was a missed opportunity. The season starts slowly, and there are parts in each episode that may tempt viewers to skip ahead to the main scenes.

Character Sketches

Jitendra Kumar as Jeetu Bhaiyya: This season, Jitendra Kumar does not disappoint. He excels as a dedicated teacher willing to solve his students’ problems, whether personal or academic. His portrayal of depression and therapy sessions following a personal tragedy is heart-wrenching.

Mayur More as Vaibhav Pandey: Mayur More delivers a stellar performance as Vaibhav Pandey, capturing the essence of a confused, hurt, yet determined student. Tillotama Shome as Pooja Didi: Her role in the series was one of the most perfectly depicted teacher’s characters. Tillotama being the great actor she is, brings life to her character Pooja Didi. It is rather upsetting how her role had more space and potential which was overlooked by the writer.

Revathi Pillai as Vartika Ratawal and Ahsaas Channa as Shivangi Ranawat: Both actresses had potential in their roles, but the writers could have explored more than just their study group dynamics. Their characters could have been developed further.

Alam Khan as Uday Gupta: Alam Khan is endearing and humorous, perfectly embodying his reckless yet supportive character. He is a loyal friend to Meena and Vaibhav and a loving boyfriend to Shivangi.

Ranjan Raj as Rajmukund Meena: Ranjan Raj plays his role with conviction. His performance this season is flawless.

Conclusion

The season concludes with powerful lessons. Jeetu Bhaiyya and Vaibhav Panday embark on new journeys after facing rough phases in their lives.
