Sector 36 is a gripping crime thriller featuring Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal as Prem Singh and Inspector Ram Charan Pandey, respectively. Based on true events, the dark film delves into the gruelling search for a serial killer responsible for the disappearance of several children from a North Indian slum. The Aditya Nimbalkar features Vikrant as a house help who hides a dark and sinister secret, and Deepak as a police inspector willing to sacrifice all he has to find the serial killer in order to keep his daughter safe.

Story & Screenplay

The Aditya Nimbalkar directorial sees Vikrant Massey deliver a chilling performance as a house help who hides a dark and sinister secret. He’s a ruthless serial killer who abducts and murders children without a hint of remorse. Not just him, but his affluent employer too harbours some menacing qualities that make him an accomplice in the heinous crimes committed under his roof. Deepak Dobriyal’s Inspector Ram Charan Pandey is a dedicated law enforcement officer who is initially indifferent to the missing children cases. However, his stance on the fight changes when his own daughter narrowly escapes becoming a victim. The film’s crux revolves around the horrifying truths Inspector Pandey discovers as he digs deeper into the case.

Bodhayan Roychaudhury deserves a standing ovation for penning the gripping story as well as its screenplay and dialogues. The interactions between the characters will remain with you long after you shut down your laptop screen.

Direction & Cinematography

Kudos to Aditya Nimbalkar for choosing a film like this as his directorial debut. He has managed to capture the raw emotions of each character making the film feel real.

Saurabh Goswami and Sreekar Prasad have done amazing jobs as the film’s cinematographer and editor respectively. Prasad needs a round of applause for editing Sector 36 perfectly and keeping the narrative engaging and the audience on the edge of its seat from the first scene to the very last. Goswami encapsulates the harsh realities of society. From the camera angles to the scenes, you are in for a treat.

Sector 36 Star Cast

Vikrant Massey delivers a chameleon-like performance in the film that will leave you with goosebumps. He has dived deep into the complex role of Prem Singh with remarkable authenticity and depth making you feel the pain of his past trauma but rage on what he’s become now. His portrayal adds significant weight and realism to the film.

Deepak Dobriyal is equally impressive as the determined Inspector Ram Charan Pandey who will hold nothing back in order to solve the case and help make Delhi safer for the children. His performance enhances the film’s tension and emotional impact. Together, Massey and Dobriyal bring a level of credibility and intensity that deserves a resounding round of applause.
