Crakk Review
Story
A man named Sidharth from the slums of Mumbai takes part in the world of underground extreme sports. Despite knowing that the sports killed his brother, he still goes to play to earn fame and money. However, during the course, he loses great relationships and learns the hard truth.
Highlights of Crakk
Action: It is a Vidyut Jammwal movie and how is it possible there’s no action in it? The action sequences are well-choreographed and even well-implemented. Some action scenes will surely make your jaws drop. Vidyut’s action is one of a kind, no wonder he is called the ultimate action hero. It is a movie based on a sports game and all the actions were nicely executed which will keep you at the edge of the seat for sure.
Direction: Aditya Datt who has previously helmed Table No. 21 and Commando 3 comes with another edge-at-the-seat entertainer Crakk. He makes an impact with his storytelling while giving a crisp direction. Certain action scenes were nicely directed and they imprinted in your mind. The stunts in the local train and the go-carting scenes were some of the best ones to enjoy on the big screen.
Performances: Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal’s action-packed performances are one of the biggest highlights of the movie. Vidyut’s every action is so flawless that you know it comes very naturally to him. Apart from his impeccable action, Vidyut leaves a strong impression in the emotional scenes as well. On the other hand, Arjun gives a tough competition to him. He effortlessly maintains calmness as well as evilness and that’s something that will impress you.
Background score: The background score adds to the adrenaline rush. You automatically feel the thrilling rush in you with the pumping music.
Drawbacks of Crakk
VFX: Heavy visual effects were used in the movie and some places, it looked patchy. You just get to know that they are shooting with a green background in the background. Due to that glitch, it sort of disturbs the movie-watching experience. The finishing of the VFX looked half-baked.
Star performances
Hands down, Vidyut Jammwal is one of the best action heroes that Bollywood has. Every move of his is flawless and effortless. Given that he knows martial arts, Vidyut makes everything look like a cakewalk.
It was good to see Arjun Rampal as the antagonist after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Ra One. He looks hot as hell and his sexy voice surely gives you the chills. Moreover, this time, we also get to see him doing some action and he is good.
Nora Fatehi plays the influencer in the movie but she was more for the glamour quotient in the movie. Nevertheless, she delivers a decent performance. Amy Jackson plays the role of the police and she does pack a punch with her performance. Though her accent can be a little confusing, she still manages to stay relevant in the movie. Ankit Mohan, Bijay Anand, Rajendra Shisatkar and Jamie Lever are seen in the limited screentime but contribute well to the storyline.
Conclusion
Overall in the review, Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal starrer Crakk Jeetega… Toh Jiyegaa is thrilling yet emotional. Though the movie might remind you of the Squid Games series, Crakk adds its own charm to the movie and something that has never been seen before. Crakk has some death-defying action while promising a fascinating and stimulating drama.
