When it comes to patriotism, Indian Cinema has given some of the best films in recent times. Akshay Kumar who delivered one of his most honest performances in ‘Holiday: A Soldier is never off duty’ and ‘Baby’ started this year with another patriotic theme movie ‘Airlift.’ Considered to be his best performance till now the movie is based on a true story of the biggest air evacuation for the Indians residing in Kuwait when Iraq attacked there.
Recently, this Raja Krishna Menon directorial was announced Tax-free in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Following this good news, the collections of the Box-office which are on a raise day by day, making this movie the first one to enter 100 Crore club in 2016.
Getting this release on January 22, the movie has managed to collect Rs. 83. 50 Cr in its first week in India and by adding the revenue earned from the overseas of Rs. 26. 53 Cr in the same week it makes a whopping total of Rs. 110. 53 Cr.

Certainly, it can be said that ‘Airlift’ has won the battle in reel and real life also. The movie stars Nimrat Kaur in the female lead with Purab Kohli playing a pivotal part in it.
