Akshay Kumar‘s first release in 2016 ‘Airlift‘ has made quite a good impact on the audiences. This movie was termed as the first big budget venture for the year, had released on Friday 22nd January. Getting a good opening, the movie is picking up on the collection front day by day. Having a previous look at the collection graph of Khiladi Kumar’s movies, ‘Airlift’ is certainly bound to break the box-office records of the first-week earnings beating the record of his action masala flick ‘Rowdy Rathore.’
After getting a good opening on the weekends, the collections were equally good on the 4th day as well. Being it was the occasion of Republic Day the audiences were coming in good numbers for this patriotic movie.

This Raja Krishna Menon directorial stars Nimrat Kaur in the female lead. It is based on a true story of the biggest air evacuation for the Indians residing in Kuwait when Iraq attacked there.
