This year’s much anticipated film ‘Sarbjit’ released on May 20 with a weak collection of Rs 3 crore at the box office. After witnessing how a strong buzz about the film was formed, the collection figures seem unexpected. On its fourth day, it has minted an amount of Rs 2 crore.
The film collected Rs 4 crore and Rs 4.75 crore respectively on Saturday and Sunday. A fair growth on Monday was expected but it instead witnessed a steady fall.
The Government of UP has announced ‘Sarbjit’ to be tax free and hence, UP is the state to contribute most of the box office amount. Highest Rs 25 crore gross business is being predicted for the film.
After four days, the total collection of this Randeep Hooda-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan remains Rs 13.75 crore.
