Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ has done a great business over its first weekend

Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ started on a good note at the box office. The reviews and the positive word of mouth helped the film to grow exceptionally over the weekend. While Friday was good, Saturday was better, Sunday was simply outstanding.

On its third day, the movie collected a whopping amount of Rs 19 crore which is amazing. The first weekend total of the film is Rs 47.25 crore. This is the fourth best weekend for an Akshay Kumar film, after ‘Housefull 3’, ‘Rustom’ and ‘Brothers’. Well, now it will be interesting to see how the film does on weekdays.

On the other hand, both ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Raees’ have slowed down at the box office. On its third Sunday, according to the film’s team, the Hrithik Roshan-starrer collected Rs 1.88 crore, taking the till date total to Rs 133.50 crore. Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ collected Rs 85 lakh on its third Sunday. Now the film’s total collection is Rs 128.05 crore.
