‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ does a decent business on its second Friday

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ won hearts with a relevant screenplay and good performances. And the love is showing in its box office figures.

After its first weekend, the film had minted Rs 72.25 crore. Now after its second Friday, it has added another Rs 4 crore in his kitty. With this, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ stands with a collection of Rs 76.25 crore.

Delhi and cities in UP are witnessing the strongest business. What further worked to the film’s advantage was that it was a solo release. Further, both this week’s releases namely ‘Machine’ and ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ turned out to be duds. Therefore, no major competitor! The film will also buck up during the weekend. it might as well become one of the highest grossers of 2017. Footfall of weekend will determine how much money it makes in the coming week.

‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is a humorous but relevant take on the dowry system firmly prevalent in North India.
