Box office: ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ registers the highest second weekend business of 2017

Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania‘ registers the best second weekend business of 2017. The movie did a business of Rs 17 crore approximately on the second weekend and second Monday business is Rs 2.50 crore, so the total domestic collection stands at Rs 91.27 crore. The movie has performed very well in UP, Central India and Rajasthan and it could even beat the numbers of ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ in these regions. Going by the numbers, the movie could do a business of around Rs 25 crore nett in the second week and there around 30 movies that have managed to do that.

‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ opened to rave reviews at the box office and the lead pair of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt did a fabulous job in the movie. The movie is helmed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar. It is the second instalment of the franchise that began with ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ in 2014.
