‘Jagga Jasoos’ mints decent money over the first weekend

People had high expectations from Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’, but unfortunately, the film failed to live up to the expectations. Critics’ verdict on the film stays divided and so does audience review. The film had a very slow start at the box office as it managed to rake in only Rs 8.25 crore on its first day. But over the weekend, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ witnessed a good growth. On its first Saturday, the box office numbers showed a jump and film accumulated approximately Rs 11 crore. First Sunday too proved to be good for the film as it managed to mint approximately Rs 12.50 crore at the box office. The total collection of the film at the end of first weekend stands at Rs 31.75 crore approximately.

The numbers are decent for a film that has stars like Ranbir and Katrina. ‘Jagga Jasoos’ directed by Anurag Basu took almost 4 years to complete and despite the best efforts put in by the stars, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ has failed to break records at the box office.
