Last Friday, we had two films clashing at the box office. One was Ayushmann Khurrana‘s ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ produced by Yash Raj Studios while the other was Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, Amit Sadh, Yami Gautam and few others. Unfortunately, both the films have tanked at the box office despite great promotions.
‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ and ‘Sarkar 3’ started on a bad note. They hardly collected any money on the opening day and well, the trend continued over the weekend. And when the weekend is so bad, how can we expect the first Monday collections to be good. On its first Monday, both the films accumulated approximately Rs 75 lakhs at the box office.
With this the total collection of ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ stands at Rs 7.25 crore while ‘Sarkar 3’ stands at Rs 7.60 crore. The collections are of course bad, but it could also be because of the storm of ‘Baahubali 2’. The film directed by SS Rajamouli is still going strong at the box office.
