Monday box office business of Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Dear Zindagi’ is decent

Gauri Shinde’s second directorial venture ‘Dear Zindagi‘ that hit the cinema halls last Friday is doing well at the box office. The movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt in central roles has been getting positive word-of-mouth publicity which is helping the collections. After a good box office first weekend, the movie raked in Rs 4.25 crore on Monday which is decent considering Monday is a working day. The total 4 day collection of the movie is Rs 36.75 crore. Of course, the collections could have been better but the movie has already earned profits and a drop in the numbers will not hamper the makers much.

The movie that did good business in multiplexes overall, did not get the desired numbers in the North. Niche films rarely touch the Rs 100 crore mark so this movie could earn around Rs 50 crore in the first weekend.
