‘Udta Punjab’ collects Rs 53.25 crore in ten days

The total ten day collection of ‘Udta Punjab‘ is around Rs 53.25 crore which is not that great. Where movies are vying for the Rs 100 crore mark, this Abhishek Chaubey directorial with a good star cast of Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh couldn’t reach the coveted 100 crore mark.

While Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have garnered rave reviews for their performances, the film being a dark thriller couldn’t earn huge at the box office.

Shahid Kapoor is a talented actor no doubt about that, but he is yet to touch the 100 crore mark. His last hit movie ‘Haider’ won him critical acclaim and awards, but it didn’t set the cash registers ringing. Now his latest movie ‘Udta Punjab’ which was embroiled in many controversies from the onset is looking at a lifetime business of 58-60 crore.
