Veteran actor Kabir Bedi says he is happy to be a part of an “epic” like Ashutosh Gowariker’s “Mohenjo Daro”, which stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role.
The epic adventure-romance film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, Sindh Pakistan in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC.
Though Bedi did not reveal about his character, he said the period drama has a beautiful story.
“I am playing a very important role in the movie. I can’t talk much about it. The movie is shaping up well. It is an epic movie and Ashutosh has weaved a beautiful story around one of the oldest civilisations. It will be a great movie,” Bedi told PTI.
This is the second time the 69-year-old actor is working with Hrithik after 2010 film “Kites”. Bedi said it has been a wonderful experience sharing screen space with the “Bang Bang!” star.
“I have seen him since his childhood as I am friends with his his father. It feels wonderful to see him evolve into such a fabulous actor.”
Bedi, who starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dilwale”, also heaped praise on the superstar, saying that he is an intelligent person.
“I first worked with him in ‘Dil Aashna Hai’, then in ‘Main Hoon Na’ and recently in ‘Dilwale’. His growth has been phenomenal. He has not only grown into a fantastic actor but also a beautiful human being. He is very respectful towards me.
“Shah Rukh is a very intelligent man. We attended a session together and seeing him speak to the students, I was amazed. He is very knowledgeable.”
