Varun Dhawan’s ‘Badlapur’ mints Rs. 28 cr in four days

Varun Dhawan is quite ecstatic with the positive reviews that he is receiving for his recent release Badlapur. The revenge thriller has won the actor and the director Sriram Raghavan praises galore. The positive word of mouth has helped Varun Dhawan’s latest release ‘Badlapur’ to mint around Rs. 28 crores within four days of it’s release now.

The surprising thing is that even though there was a crucial India vs South Africa match in the ongoing ICC World Cup, it did not deter the movie goers from watching Varun Dhawans intense avatar in ‘Badlapur’. The movie even passed the Monday blues when collections are usually the least. But ‘Badlapur’ business slumped by less than even 50 percent.

Badlapur is Varun Dhawan’s image changing film. Also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi and Yami Gautam.
At 25 crore budget, the movie is all set to recover not only the cost but can be the dark horse to cross the 100 crore mark too.

Varun’s film ‘Badlapur’ is being much appreciated overseas too . It has already minted Rs. 6.23 crore in the opening weekend from the box office abroad.
