‘2.0’ staring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar is probably one of the most massive films of recent times, made on a huge scale; both in terms of monetary investment and execution. For those uninitiated, Kumar, apart from playing a pivotal role in the film, has also put in his money in the project. This evening, at the first look launch event, host Karan Johar asked him what made him invest in such a project. Here’s what Akshay had to say!

“I put money because I believe in the film.I put money because I believed I was putting money in a scientist. I believe this film is going to change the history of Indian cinema,” the ‘Khiladi’ actor said.

Talking about working with a superstar like Rajinikanth, he said, “Rajinikanth is not superstar. He is a galaxy!”

Made with an eye-popping budget of over 300 Cr. rupees, ‘2.0’ is the successor to Tamil flick ‘Enthiran’. It is a science fiction helmed by  S. Shankar.
