A R Rahman speaks about Sachin Tendulkar's biopic

Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman has scored the music for the upcoming biopic on iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, and the maestro feels the film will be one of the biggest movie-going events of the year.

Directed by James Erskine, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ is based on the life of Tendulkar.

The biographical drama stars the 43-year-old master blaster and will chronicle his journey while revealing a few aspects of his life which have never been heard of or seen before.

The Oscar-winning composer says music of the film will reflect Tendulkar’s journey from childhood to cricketing legend.

“The music will reflect his childhood days till the point he became a legend. I am excited for it. That’s one of the most awaited film of the year. So many people are looking forward to it,” Rahman told PTI.

“So far, whatever I have seen, it has turned out a really beautiful movie. But they’re still making it. So the work is on,” he added.

“‘Mohenjo Daro’ is completely different. It is really a unique movie. It has got a lot of romance in it. And whatever I saw I really liked it. I wish the best to all of us.”

‘Mohenjo Daro’ is an epic love story, set in the Indus Valley civilization.

Reportedly, the film is about the protagonist falling in love with his enemy’s daughter. Hrithik Roshan and newcomer Pooja Hegde feature in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on August 12.
