Aamir Khan no more the brand ambassador of Incredible India?

With his emotional television stint in ‘Satyamev Jayete,’ Aamir Khan won hearts of millions. It was a platform where he highlighted the aggrieved issues faced by the Indian society which either get neglected or do fail to attract attention. Aamir became television’s most favorite celebrity following which he became the face of Incredible India campaign.

Starting with Amitabh Bachchan many celebrities became the face of the ‘Incredible India’ campaign in order to promote tourism in various states of India. Aamir too was a part of it but, the latest reports suggest that the Indian Government has decided to remove Aamir Khan from the post of the brand ambassador for Incredible India campaign. Though there’s no official confirmation on this yet but there are reports which say that Aamir is no more a part of this campaign. This decision of the Indian Government is probably the after effect of the controversy created by Aamir’s comment on intolerance issue in India. Aamir had said that the growing intolerance in India alarms him and his wife fears the future of her kids in India. This had irked a lot of people making it a national issue. Following this Tourism ministry of India has decided to remove Aamir from the list of celebrities promoting Incredible India say the reports.

Well, only time will tell us whether there is any truth behind this story.

Aamir would be next seen in film ‘Dangal’ wherein he would play a role of a wrestler.
